Club Captains Confirmed For 2026

Following the EGM held on Monday 16th March we are pleased to announce our senior team captains for the 2026 season.

The 1st XI  will once again be spearheaded by Stefan Fielding, whose 9th campaign as First Team skipper comes as the team takes on the challenge of GMCL Prem 2 cricket for the first time.

Following Phill Rowston’s decision to step down as 2nd XI captain, Michael Scott  will led the team in 2026. With >650 senior wickets for the club, his experience and leadership skills will be a huge asset for the team in Division 6 this summer.

On Sundays, the 3rd XI will also have a new captain with Chris Green-Buckley now confirmed as skipper. Chris takes on this role alongside his existing duties as Junior Cricket Lead and Under 15s Coach.

The 4th XI will once again be under the charge of Stephen Scott after a promising 2025 season.

Julie Crudden has been confirmed as Women’s Captain for a 4th consecutive season as the Women’s Team enter the GMCL pyramid for the 1st time.

Alan Swann will continue his long-standing fine work as Over 40’s Captain with support from Adie Davis.
