2nd XI and 3rd XI Captaincy Nominations Sought | EGM Set For Monday 16th March

Nominations for the vacant 2nd XI and 3rd XI captaincy positions have now re-opened following the pause agreed at the AGM. 

Nominations for either position should be made by email, to the club's general email (mottramcricket@gmail.com) no later than Friday 6th March. 

This email should clearly identify the position for which they are being nominated and confirm who seconds this nomination.

Senior Players Meeting | Tuesday 24th February

To support with preparation for the upcoming season, and enable discussion on captaincy and playing matters, a Senior Players Meeting has been called on Tuesday 24th February at the club. 

All senior players are requested to attend. The meeting will begin at 7.30pm with key topics for discussion to be distributed in advance of the meeting.

EGM Confirmed

To conclude the captaincy nominations process, an EGM has been called and set for Monday 16th March. Registration of attendance will open at 7pm, with the meeting starting at 7.30pm.

This meeting will be used solely to confirm the 2nd and 3rd XI captains for 2026. 

Existing senior playing members who played senior cricket in the 2025 season, Committee Members and Life Members are eligible to vote on captaincy positions.

For all voting and to stand for a role, no membership payments must be outstanding.

If only one candidate is nominated for a role, then confirmation of the new captain will be made via a public "show of hands" vote. 

If more than one candidate is nominated for a role, then the captain will be elected via a secret ballot.
